Are you trying to finish your dissertation? Get your first article published? Write your memoir? Craft a newsletter or a personal essay? In each case, an editor will help see you through to the best possible written product.
Your writing should be exceptional, not adequate. AI is not your friend.
If you use AI to create written content, it will guide you to a generic expression of an unoriginal thought. If you use it to copyedit your own draft, it will flatten your voice. The process of revising your writing is a crucial step, when you can really think about every word choice and argument angle. An editor will engage you in the process. Often, that means an editorial slash and burn. When you remove the excess, you get clarity. Original, compelling writing, not AI slop.
Affordable. Accessible. Help is on hand.
All you need to do is email to set up a free consultation, and send in a sample of your writing. Together, we will work to ensure you meet your deadline, follow your chosen style guide, and use your unique voice to communicate in a clear and compelling way. You can learn about what kind of editing level is appropriate for your project by watching my video tutorial, editing service options.
After the initial consult, we can determine if you need a copyedit, a proofread, stylistic help, or structural help. We will set up a schedule, and discuss the cost of the project. You will receive feedback at every step of the process, and learn what mistakes you can avoid in the future.
The service is affordable and accessible, from ESL learners to advanced academics. You will have peace of mind that your written copy is the best it can be, free of errors and easy to read. Best of all, you will have learned how to improve your writing in the process.

As someone who works in communications, I do think having another set of trained eyes on your writing can make a huge difference, especially when you’re too close to the work to see what needs tightening or clarifying.
I also like the reminder that strong writing comes from revision, not shortcuts. There’s real value in slowing down and refining your own voice so the final piece feels intentional and clear.
Human connection and real storytelling are exactly what make writing resonate with people!
Great read, I totally agree. As someone who has tried AI to help in the writing process, I have found that while it can be good for proofreading, spell checks etc, not only does it flatten my words (as you described) but it also starts to sound generic. It sounds like the same person (or editor) telling/editing the content.
